On-Site Physical Therapy

Procedures: The City of Springfield calls the physical therapist to report a non-emergency, musculoskeletal injury to an employee’s body.

1. The therapist will respond within 24 hours to schedule an evaluation/treatment appointment with the injured employee.

2. The physical therapist will contact the company representative with a verbal and written report within 24 hours after the initial evaluation.

3. The therapist, with the help of the company representative, will schedule future appointments with the injured employee as needed.

4. All medical records of evaluations and treatments will be kept at the company in the employee’s confidential medical record.
